The short version

The four things worth knowing before you use any output for something that matters. The family cards below carry the specifics.

    Using a tool creates no professional relationship of any kind — not financial, medical, legal, tax or employment.

    The general position

  • The formula may not be your formula

    Jurisdictions, contracts and institutions use different conventions for the same-sounding calculation. A result is arithmetic on your inputs, under our stated assumptions.

  • Generated documents carry no status

    Producing a certificate or an offer letter does not make it official, and does not check that you are entitled to issue it.

    What a document is not

  • No accuracy percentage is published

    A figure measured on our own test data would tell you nothing about yours, so none is given. Confidence is reported per finding instead.

This summary is not the agreement. Where the summary and the numbered clauses differ, the clauses are what applies. They are below, and each one has its own link.

5 families of tool, each with the specific wrong conclusion people draw from it. The middle column is the useful one — it names the mistake rather than disclaiming everything at once.

  • Calculators and converters

    Risk: Assumption mismatch

    What it is

    A documented, standard formula applied to the numbers you entered, at the precision the tool exposes.

    What it is not

    • The convention your jurisdiction, contract or institution actually uses — those differ for the same-sounding calculation.
    • A forecast. A projection is arithmetic on your assumptions, and it inherits every one of them.
    • Precision-independent. Where a tool exposes a rounding control, the displayed answer depends on it.

    Before you rely on it

    Check which convention applies to your case, and re-run with the rounding your counterparty uses.

  • Financial and tax tools

    Risk: Money and filings

    What it is

    An educational estimator for EMI, interest, GST, discounts, invoices and investment projections.

    What it is not

    • Financial, investment, accounting or tax advice, and it does not account for your full circumstances.
    • Current by definition. Rates, thresholds and slabs change, and a tool may not reflect the version applying to you today.
    • The figure that counts. Lenders, tax authorities and accounting software apply their own rounding, fees and conventions — theirs is the number that binds.
    • A prediction. Past or assumed returns do not indicate future results.

    Before you rely on it

    Verify anything affecting a filing, a loan, a contract or a payment against the official source or a qualified professional.

  • Health and wellness tools

    Risk: Health decisions

    What it is

    Common population-level formulas for BMI, BMR, calories, hydration, pregnancy and cycle estimates.

    What it is not

    • Medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and no substitute for a clinician who knows your history.
    • Reliable for individuals. Population formulas predict poorly for athletes, older adults, children and people with medical conditions.
    • Clinically meaningful. Due-date and cycle estimates are approximations; only a clinician can assess a pregnancy.

    Before you rely on it

    Never delay seeking medical advice, or change medication or treatment, because of anything displayed here. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.

  • AI-assisted output

    Risk: Confident inaccuracy

    What it is

    A drafting and analysis aid running on text you supply, on an action you explicitly trigger, in features that are labelled as AI-assisted.

    What it is not

    • Reliable without checking. Language models produce fluent text that can be confidently wrong; verify every factual claim before use.
    • A licence to overstate. Do not let AI-assisted text claim qualifications, employment history or achievements that are not accurate — that also breaches the Content Policy.
    • Certain to be original. Output may resemble existing material; check third-party rights before publishing.
    • Career, legal, immigration or employment advice. No outcome — an interview, an offer, an approval — is implied or promised.

    Before you rely on it

    Read every line as a draft written by someone who has never met you.

  • SEO and developer tools

    Risk: Deploying something untested

    What it is

    Generators, formatters, validators and converters implementing published specifications and public conventions.

    What it is not

    • A ranking, indexing, traffic or approval promise. Search engines do not work that way and nobody can promise otherwise.
    • A substitute for testing. Verify generated code, schema, regular expressions and configuration in your own environment before deploying.
    • Uniform across browsers. File and image tools depend on your browser's capabilities, and very large files may exceed available memory.

    Always keep an original copy of any file before processing it.

A deliberate absence

Why no accuracy percentage appears anywhere

An accuracy figure is only meaningful against a stated test set. A percentage measured on documents we chose, in formats we chose, would describe our test data rather than your work — and it would be read as a promise about yours. So none is published. What is published instead is a confidence level on each individual finding, and an explicit statement of what could not be read.

The aim is correctness, and the assumptions behind each tool are documented in the Tools Methodology. That is not the same as a warranty: no result is warranted to be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your particular situation.

Each family has its own failure mode, and treating them as one category is how people end up trusting the wrong thing. A calculator misleads by using a convention that is not yours. A generated document misleads by looking official. An AI draft misleads by being fluent. A quality score misleads by being high on a well-formatted dataset of wrong values. The cards above name each one and say what to check.

3.Why there is no accuracy figure

Because a number measured on our test data would describe our test data.

A percentage measured on documents we chose, in formats we chose, would describe our test data rather than your work — and it would be read as a promise about yours. So none is published. What is outside our control, stated rather than absorbed into a general disclaimer.

Pages link to external sites and reference third-party services, formats and standards. We do not control them, are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Parts of the platform depend on providers whose availability and behaviour are outside our control.

Availability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change or be withdrawn, maintenance and provider incidents may interrupt access, and no uptime guarantee applies to any self-service plan.

5.Where responsibility sits

With whoever decides what to do with the output — which is you.

You decide what to do with an output. Checking that a result fits your situation, that a document may be issued, and that a file has a backup are all yours — and this page exists so that division is not a surprise.
