What this document is

An ID card has to survive a printer, a badge holder, and a scanner. This template renders at true CR80 card size with crop marks, putting the photo, name, designation, and a Code 128 employee-number barcode on the front, and validity, emergency contact, and return instructions on the back.

Who uses it

HR teams issuing cards to new joiners, admin teams handling reissues, and security teams needing a scannable number for attendance or access.

When to send it

Generate the set once the HR register and photographs are final. Individual reissues take a single row, which matters when a card is lost mid-week.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Photographs at inconsistent crops or resolutions; standardize them first, because the card renders whatever image the column points to.
  • Cards with no expiry, removing the one mechanism that forces a leaver's card out of circulation — which is why validity is a required field.
  • Printing with fit-to-page scaling instead of at full size, producing cards that no longer sit correctly in a standard holder.

Privacy

The preview above and all local batches run entirely in your browser — names, amounts, and other values are never uploaded. Cloud batches are explicit, isolated per workspace, protected by short-lived signed links, and deleted at the end of a visible retention window (or earlier, on your request).
